WHO IS KELZ?
Kelz (they/them) is the Founder and a Creator with Kelz Liberatory Creations & Consulting where they create a safe space in which folx are powerful and free to experience expansiveness through art, capacity building, consulting and coaching.
With a Master’s degree from Africa International University in Nairobi, Kenya, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from TCU, Kelz has worked at the intersections of Public Health, Education and Social Work for the past 15 years. They are a licensed Social Worker, Teacher, Health Coach, Behavior Change Specialist and Community Health Worker. As a proud member of the Queer community and as someone who lives with multiple chronic diseases and disAbilities, Kelz is a fierce advocate for accessible and equitable healthcare and awareness, education, equity and inclusion in all spheres. They are a nonbinary, pansexual, polyamorous, kinky, disAbled, single mama- all of which have their own implications in every system and setting- often overlooked, marginalized and stigmatized.
They currently work as the Preventive Health Services Manager at an LGBTQ+ focus clinic in Detroit, actualizing her mission in their sexual health and healthy lifestyle programs and interventions.
